The Dominican girl in question is actually a college friend of mine that decided to to teach English to the Hello Kitty-like school children of South Korea. She recently decided to go bungee jumping, which led to the recording of this rather funny video. Hope you didn’t catch a nosebleed!
Headed out to Long Island to the world famous Jones Beach yesterday for a little R&R. Caught some waves and sun rays while I was at it.
The food was eh, but I don’t expect beach food to be mind blowing. Had a standard meal of friend chicken and french fries (complete with deathly levels of sodium). Read the rest of this entry »
I had this about 4 months ago around E. 9th Street. I was picking up some props from the good folks at Asahi beer and figure I treat myself to some fast Japanese food while I was at it. For some food I had on the spur I must say it was pretty good. On the downside, my sinus infection from allergies prevented me from truly enoying it. Nonetheless, the spicy/salty flavor cooked into the noodle made it an enjoyable meal on the go.
@jaekicho, @mikeyfresh1,@rekstizzy, & @eeesong–I need your help. I’m trying to find out the name of this Korean paste/sauce that always comes with any good Korean BBQ. I went to BBQ Village the other night and no one I was with could figure what it was called. Recipes are welcome too.
This momentous homage to the iconic beer brand was assembled by @mikeyfresh1 & company at his cosmopolitan residence. I was impressed by the brand loyalty and the how well the bottles went well with the kitchen decorum. Just the idea alone is worthy of some type of endorsement by the house that Gerard built. Red Star needs to get down with Mikey 2 Fresh and have him interview artists on tour for the campaign.
This is an old picture, but this image serves to remind me of my first time trying to make sweet platanos (plaintains). For the uninitiated, platanos are a banana shaped fruit that are commonly found throughout the Caribbean, and most popularly cooked in Dominican cuisine. I even had a snapshot of Lone Beast repping his native country’s favorite export.
As I was enjoying some Chinese banquet the other day, I started talking to my cousins about mobile apps and how they already serve as an incredible outlet for retor gaming. For whatever reason we thought of other left field retro junk that could possibly be restored via iPhone or Android OS, and sure enough we thought of Tamagotchis.
Alex (aka Brace Yourself) may very well be one of the hardest working person I have ever met. Besides spearheading the Evolve blog and going to school full time, he manages to hold it down at Complex and GOODIES, while making it all seem effortless. He holds the record for reviewing more Android phones than anyone else in our peer group.
I came across this old BB pic while I was going over all of the saved pictures. I can’t quite recall when this photo was taken but after 4 rounds of Korean rice vodka, who would. I’m pretty sure I was with @jaekicho and Sang the Man when we ingested all of this. I’m also pretty sure we were at Players in K-Town.
