I was on @ryankeely‘s Twitter (major blush) and noticed a tweet about the Palladium shoe company doing a documentary on Detroit. I took a second to search for the documentary and found myself on the Palladium site viewing it. Above is the trailer for it but it’s broken down into several short videos on Palladium’s Exploration section, which you can check out by clicking here. The documentary focuses on the changes going on in Detroit as it is most known for it’s troubled past and high crime rate but many young artists and professionals are moving in (in a very Williamsburg-esque way) looking to grow the arts and culture scene.

The Dominican girl in question is actually a college friend of mine that decided to to teach English to the Hello Kitty-like school children of South Korea. She recently decided to go bungee jumping, which led to the recording of this rather funny video. Hope you didn’t catch a nosebleed!

I didn’t watch the Grammy’s. Sorry it slipped my mind this year. I know. Sad for a music head. I did watch the “Forever” performance on Nah Right. Nice sneakers Weezy. As I was going through my reader, I caught this on Boy Genius Report. Brilliant marketing/branding strategy.

An iconic company that has positioned itself as the leader in tech products for the non-conformist, liberal arts crowd places it’s latest revolutionary product (or seemingly revolutionary) in the hands of a national icon for the liberal, non-conservative think tank on a nationally (and now virally) broadcasted award show. This is great. The timing was perfect and the choice of representative was great. No music artists or Hollywood celebs. Someone “neutral” (lol), who speaks to the aforementioned audience.

And it’s not only dope because my sibling wrote and directed it. It’s genuinely well put together. Interestingly enough the project is based on real-life gang member Salvador Agron, who coincidentally took college courses at my alumni.

This video is a bit old, but I recently stumbled upon it on the Don blog. They usually present their video lookbooks with that stop-and-go style. Looks cool. Nice cardigans.

Really excited about this. I was a big fan of the original.

Notice some del Toro-styled monsters in this. The same team that worked on this needs to get that God of War movie out ASAP.
