@jaekicho, @mikeyfresh1,@rekstizzy, & @eeesong–I need your help. I’m trying to find out the name of this Korean paste/sauce that always comes with any good Korean BBQ. I went to BBQ Village the other night and no one I was with could figure what it was called. Recipes are welcome too.

Last night I took some time to grab a late dinner with @jaekicho, @esymai, @eeesong and company at a cozy Taiwanese spot in the Asian/Latino ethnic enclave* known as Elmhurst, Queens. @jaekicho is an avid fan of the Taiwanese cuisine and usually invites me out to a spot in Flushing for late night braised pork + cabbage runs. This time we decided to switch it up and head out West with some compadres for a change of scenery.
I worked and drove all day. I think pictures of being on Mac Books have become synonymous with our generations concept of working hard and grinding. Despite our motivation to succeed, I would estimate 85% of us have one tab with Facebook open.
I really don’t want this blog to turn into a “look-at-how-much attention I need to make myself feel important-cool-my-life-is” blog. However, I’ll document the highlights for a few unique hits. The night started off with 2 dope boys in a ’94 Corolla on a mission to party and ended at sunrise. Somewhere in between DJ Neil Armstrong and Far East Movement were involved. Of course the cohort in hand was this guy…
…for the most obvious rap video to get posted around the blogosphere. Lol. But in all seriousness this song/video is a classic. It’s a Queens thing. Maybe Rek and I will do a remake. Ha.
